I have recently acquired a brand new Bendix OFF-R-L-BOTH-START ignition switch part number 10-357210-1. I want to use this switch to operate my two coils independently as R or L and have the ability to run BOTH just as you would a mag set up. I was just bench testing the switch with it hooked to a battery. Using a test light, the starter position worked but I could not get the R-L-BOTH positions to work. Is there some magic to a Bendix switch that I am overlooking? Tony Bingelis' book "Firewall Forward" shows the wiring diagram but that is basically all it says about it. Any help would be appreciated as I would like to get rid of the cheap switch I am currently using and use this Bendix switch. Thanks
