Does anyone else with an O-200 notice that the EGT gets about 100 degrees hotter when throttled back than at full throttle? I have noticed that when I cruise at my normal altitude around 9,000' at full throttle (about 65% power) that my peak EGT is a little over 1,400 degrees. If I just pull the throttle back to 3/4 or 1/2 it goes up around 1,500. I have not determined yet if the carb is just leaning out in the mid range or if it is just normal to have hotter EGTs in the mid range.
