Sorry I didn't get to see you guys there. I was called out of town Friday evening for "Dad duty". My daughter's wash machine quit so I made a six hour round trip to fix it. I didn't get home until 2:00PM on Saturday. Even with the price of gas it was less expensive than calling a local repairman. I did get in some KR time today. I made a 30 minute flight to the EAA chapter 453 picnic. 3000 foot grass strip, two 180 mph fly-bys, 25 airplanes to look at, and topped off with good food. On return I got to make some formation passes with a Decathalon on the left flying lead, me off his right wing (75 feet) and a Yak tight on my right wing. I had to keep throttling back so as not to outrun the Decathalon. We were making about 150mph passes with me pulling about 2300 rpm. The young man flying the Decathalon recently won the National Championship in the Sportsman class at the meet in Texas. I landed with the sun slipping below the horizon. Then when I got home I found my wife had baked a fresh apple pie. DOES IT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a good week............. Larry Flesner
