I was most encouraged to see the shop lit up with a white position light, green navigation light, strobe and a landing light. Total current draw was 10.3 amps for the one wing. Times 2 would be 20.6 amps. Hmmm... looks like my Diehl VW 20 amp alternator may be somewhat challenged for night flight. >Sid Wood ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Your largest continous current draw will be the position lights. Replace your current bulbs with the new LED lamps. The landing light, your largest draw, will only be used for a few minutes on landing and takeoff and the battery should handle the load. The three position lamps will draw approx 5 to 6 amps total. If replaced with LED lamps, they would draw maybe an amp or two. Use LED lamps whenever possible for cockpit lighting. With a bit of planning, you should be able to cut your total current draw to less than the 20 amps you have available. Larry Flesner
