Hi John, 

You might consider building the fuselage without the
taper. I built mine 90 degree sides and it makes so
many things easier. It is simple to do, just keep the
top measurements the same on the bottom and keep it
square. Think of the advantages just in cutting the
crossmembers! Remember all your joints must have a 90
percent face contact. Multiple angles make that very
difficult. People also worry about how to measure line
level. I don't. My longeron is perfectly level and
everything is measured from it.

I think that was the best modification I have done to
date. I would not build a future KR with the taper.
