It would have been a 500 mile round trip by auto and it takes me 5 hours each way. As the old saying goes,"you can't get there from here, you have to go around". My 2.8 hours in the KR included some "buzzing" around time in the area and doesn't take into account the ground time on each end. Any way you figure it, the KR is still the only way to go!!! The "bootleggers route" usually includes a ferry boat ride across the Illinois river but I'll trade that for the view from above the clouds any day. Larry Flesner
