I have heard lots of people scornfully refer to the nose wheel as a training wheel and regard pilots who fly airplanes with one as not real pilots and it doesn't bother me a bit. I learned to fly on a nose wheel airplane and to me getting tail dragger qualified would be backing up. The nose wheel was a great improvement when it first came out and almost eliminates ground looping so it's a good thing even if the tail dragger pilots refuse to recognize it as such. It is just really a matter of personal preference.
