I believe that better weather is available during the month of October and over the years have heard many comments about the poor weather conditions during the month of September. I have now flown to 4 gatherings and this was the first time that I was able to go to and from the gathering without incident. However, it was not without great concern as we had just had the worst hurricane in my lifetime and were being threatened by another one that is still sitting off the coast. We had to check often each day to be sure that we would be able to get back home and never knew if we were going be able to stay for the duration of the gathering.
I do not understand how it can possibly be the general consensus that we continue to have this event during one of the worst times of the year for flying. I have always thought that this should be open for debate but it has always been dictated and that is something I also do not understand. See you in Mt.
