Cris,

Don't wait! Start building NOW! Otherwise, when you near completion, you
will feel so sorry to have to wait an extra 3 months before you can fly!
;-)

I would love to know more about Italian registered KR, if only to help me
convince the French airworthiness authorities when the time comes.

What do you mean by "bicycle"? Are you talking by any chance about a
taildragger undercarriage?

In French, they call them "train classique" (taildragger) and "train
tricycle" (tri-gear)

About the engine, it must be either a Limbach (German design based on the
VW engine) or a Great Plains ( American design based on the same engine),
but it cannot be both.

As you already know, I'll start building in 2006. I'm trying to study
everything I can in these months and I had the chance to know some nice
people by email, even in Italy (!). The last one (chronologically) is
Alberto Zorzi. He's an Air Force pilot, flies almost everything and has a
flying KR2S and one more almost ready. I went to his airfield to see the
first one and... I'm really impressed both by the guy and the plane. It's
the first KR I see "live" and I LOVE IT.

He told me he would send me some pics to show you, but I made some myself.

As soon I download them I'll put them on a web space to share them.

Bycicle, no flaps, belly board, leather interiors, Limbach (Great Planes)
engine, nice instruments panel with certified stuff.

He's currently selling it (he's almost completed a new one).

Ciao!

Cris.
