Jeff, Before you travel too far down that road, do a W&B on paper to make sure your KR can take that kind of weight shift and still be in the allowable CG range. You may have to move some other things, like battery, to keep the weight placed properly. Cutting weight is always good. It may not buy you but 5 mph more cruise (less drag) but the takeoff and climb should improve. In my KR, there is a NOTICABLE difference from nearly empty to full fuel of 25 gallon. Larry Flesner
