Two days ago, I was fitting my prop to the hub to turn the engine by hand
(I do that from time to time for preservation, when I notoiced something
very strange.

My KR2 has a fiberglass spinner. There used to have a plywood plate at the
front end of the prop, after the crush plate whose function is to help
hold the spinner in place nicely. It matches the inside of the spinner
cone tightly. About 80 fligh hours ago, I replaced that plate with an
aluminum one (2024 T4, 3mm thick).

What I saw yesterday is that the plate has been "eaten" badly (looks like
uneven grinding) on two opposed sides, exactly abeam the propeller blades
cutouts.

I then checked the spinner cone, and indeed, the fiberglass is eaten
exactly at the same place.

Would anybody have a convincing explanation for that? What must I do?
