Tommy,

I promoted the 92, 97 and 2002 flying to Oshkosh as a KR event. It was hard
to fly back in 97 but I thought it was important and in 2002 it was actually
a fun event. I went as well in 2003 to help out Steve and to show the KR on
the flight line. I have had several things come up at work in recent years
that have prevented me from going. With that said, I am planning on going
again in 2007 assuming I'm still able to pass my medical and I'm not off
sailing. I think we should start talking up 2007 at this KR Gathering to try
to outdo the 20 +/- KR's we had there in 1992. It would be a fun event.

Keep flying and I look forward to seeing everyone at the Gathering.

Just returned from Oshkosh in N995BG.Left Thur.after waiting on the front
to come thru.Well worth the wait.Flew into Fon du lac, parked, camped, and
enjoyed friday at oshkosh.Saw Bill Clapp fly his bird and got a chance to
say hi to some KR people.Good times.Bill asked me a question that stuck
with me and I had time to think about it.Why don't more KR guys fly in to
Oshkosh? The last time a sizeable gruop of KRs was there was 1992 for the
20 year thing.Since I was not there I can only say what I think.13 years
ago life was different and EAA was EAA Experimental Aviation. Now I have no
complaints about the way it is now,but just imagine the difference and it
is easy to see why it's easier and more fun to get together at the KR
gathering.I left Wisconsin at 730 AM arrived Pine Bluff,AR 230 PM.It just
don't get no better than that.VW's forever.Tommy W.
