All KR Net Heads.
Hope you lucky ones enjoyed Oshkosh.
I was saddened but not surprised to hear of the Broken Cranks in a number of
Corvair engines. As you know the early VW had similar problems, this is a
major side effect with direct drive set ups.

VW Engines Australia has now placed a few pages on their web site offering
their solutions to help you guys out, and hopefully reduce the possible of
forced landings due to Crank Failure. We were all very please to hear that
Mark Langford had a safe Emergency landing , after his crankshaft failure.

If you open the VW Engine site
http://www.vw-engines.com/

Scroll down on the left side to CORVAIR CONVERSIONS, then more info by
scrolling on the left to CRANK SHAFTS.
Both of these pages will give you information you may not have known.

Safe flying.
