Hi Jack, put this reply in the FWIF category.
I used spraylat about 6-7 years ago and it was easy to use. As I remember,
I diluted it ~15% with water to a sprayable consistency and shot it with a
cheap gun. Air pressure was about 25-30psi( I think) Play with the pressure
to get what ever will get the stuff out of the can. The worst problem was
spraying, at the edges, too thin a coat. When time came to remove the
spraylat, the thin areas were really tough but yielded to mineral spirits. I
did put a few scratches on the plexiglas before I learned how to get it all
off. How thick? About .050" or even more will be good. You can shoot in
layers okay if the previous layer is not cured out. Spray it on and let it
cure for a couple of days before covering with paper or cardboard if needed
for further protection.
Regards,
Tommy James
Ps. Mine came in a 1 gl. plastic jug from aircraft spruce.

Subject: KR> Canopy - spray-lat

I have just put up a new page about how to and not to install a canopy. I'm
having a problem with some of the pictures and navigation bars but you will
get the picture. http://jackandsandycooper.com/canopy.html
I have ordered and received a can of spray-lat ( at least I hope that is
what is in the can) from wicks but the can arrived with no markings and no
instructions. I would assume it is sprayed on at full strength but do I use
high pressure or HVLP. I do have plenty Plexiglass to practice on.
