Someone has his airworthiness certificate today and I made the first half
hour flight a couple of hours ago. YeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaa!! Things went
great and the plane is a blast to fly. Looks like my cruise speed at 3,000'
and no wheel pants yet is around 145 knots.

It is a little hard to compare to a KR until I get some more time, but the
grin factor seems about the same. The Stang is definitely faster and has a
better climb. Pitch sensitivity is about the same, but the Stang also has
more sensitive ailerons (300 degree plus pur second roll rate)and sensitive
rudder. The KR requires very little attention to the rudder compared to the
Stang. You have to work to keep the ball centered in the Stang. It is very
similar to a Pitts that way. Landings in the Stang are much easier because
it has big effective flaps and it is much more capable of a 3 point landing
that sticks than the KR is.

The KR is still my first love and I can't wait to get my 2 in the air.

Hmmm.... Sounds like someone may or may not have his airworthiness
certificate yet.

Fly (or not) safely!
