Hello Ron and Gang, Give a pad sander a try, I did very little hand sanding on my KR and after 20 years it's still look real good. Whatever you do, do not use any chemicals for stripping, aluminum yes, fiberglass NO! Always use a dust mask. Happy Flying! Adrian
