Hi, Phil.

Anything you need, just shoot.

I would like to understand something: during the INITIALIZATION process,
should I get a bar-graph on the STATUS page, as shown in page 8 of the
Manual? Because I don't. All I get is a lot of satellite positions (8 or
so) but all shown in white. No grey, no black, and no bars.

If I should get the bar-graph and I don't, then I would guess that I get
only weak signals; therefore, the pre-amplifier is probably dead.

Hi Serge
When the GPS is trying to establish itself it needs to consider satellites

that may be below it's normal limit of elevation so it really is helpful
to
ensure you place the unit in a wide open space. Afterwards it's not's so
critical as it will choose those which are higher.
By the way, I'm planning to fly my KR2 from Scotland down to France in the

summer, to visit Brittany. I'll probably be in touch for advice. It won't
be until September though I as I'm busy at work for the next few months -
I
make aircraft covers and everyone wants them during the summer months !
Regards
Phil
