In our club gliders and in my KR2 I have a small inline fuel filter to try and prevent any moisture or insects getting into the instruments. So far they have been 100% successful. Touch Wood :-)

We recently went through this with our club gliders. Someone thought that it was a good idea to use low pressure air to blow the water out of the static systems, not! Static lines were blow apart in several difficult to impossible to get to places in the gliders and water was forced into several instrument systems. You never really know whats in the line and the repairs can be really expensive, so be careful.
