       I guess I had just the opposite experience.  While it took the 
       FAA inspector 6 weeks to get to me instead of the 3 weeks 
       he originally said, I had no problems even tho he had no idea 
       what my Challenger was.  He didn't want to see my builder's 
       log but did want to see the construction photos.  

       He looked over the plane and asked questions about anything 
       that he wasn't sure of why I did what I did.  We were finished 
       in less than 3 hours and I had my repairman's cert in a month 
       or so.
