Not being as familiar with the Corvair as other 6 cyl engines I don't know what 
the "overfill" limit would be. What we always cautioned against happening with 
an overfill situation was the crankshaft getting completely covered with oil 
and then "beating" the oil like an egg beater and causing it to foam. 


The crankshaft on the Corvair is at the top so this would not be an issue. 
However, the cam is on the bottom therefore that could be an issue but not as 
severe as a crank  since the cam is much smaller and only has lobes. I have not 
reinstalled my top cover yet and I will take a look at this when I am at the 
airport tomorrow evening.
