Congratulations.  I got mine 14 years ago and I am still trying to get out
of my current job and back into a job with airplanes.  I suspect that you
will have an easier time than me.  That is the problem with staying in the
same industry for so long.  You price yourself right out of the market.

The A&P ticket, then hopefully the I/A rating in a few years is part of the
exit strategy from my current job into a retirement job that I'll hopefully

Yep, Jeff is now an A&P, having successfully negotiated the FAA written and
practical tests and having learned how to dismantle and rejoin Velcro
assemblies in the field, without calibrated tools or safety wire ;o)  Here
is one A&P who knows and understands experimental, homebuilt aircraft!
