Some of you FLYING KRs might be interested in this "best altitude"
calculator. It was written by the guy that writes X-Plane.

I have not checked it out yet.

See you in Mt. Vernon - 2005 - KR Gathering
See N64KR at http://KR-Builder.org - Then click on the pics
There is a time for building and a time for FLYING and the time for building
has expired.

I have just written a program for you (free) that will tell you what is
the optimum altitude to fly your plane, once you enter your aircraft
performance and the winds for any given flight... this will save you
many gallons of gas and many hundreds of dollars and avoid amny
kilograms of polution if you fly cross-countries.. most pilots have NO
IDEA WHAT ALTITUDE TO FLY AT, especially when there is a lot of wind,
different at each altitude.. this program (mac and windows) will tell
you what altitude to fly once you enter your aircraft performance and
the current winds for the trip... giving you exact speed and gas
mileage at various altitudes so you can pcik the best altitude for any
given wind condition. USE IT! YOU WILL SAVE GAS, MONEY, AND POLUTION!
