This has been mentioned here before, but Paul Martin and others solved this 
by installing a removable pitot probe.  Just a short stub of aluminum tube 
that inserts into a larger piece that's installed in the wing.  Part of 
preflight is to insert the pitot (after removing the plug you've inserted to 
keep wasps and stuff out).  Part of postflight is to remove and stow the 
pitot probe and stick your plug back in.

Needless to say, you also need to have a "remove before flight" streamer on 
the plug or you won't have airspeed indication of any kind.
