Don I have built access panels into the outer wings so that I'm able to =
get
at all fuel, pitot and static lines after the outer wings have been
installed. They are on the bottom of the outer wing right at the WAF =
area of
both front and rear spars. A wooden bulkhead was installed between the =
fuel
tank and first rib and all connections will be mounted there. I have =
found
hydraulic type quick disconnects at Princess Auto of all places that are =
the
perfect size for fuel pickup and return lines and the price was less =
than
$10 each. When disconnection is needed the flexible braided stainless =
hose
is snapped free from both inner and outer wing areas and also act as =
check
valves when disconnected. The pitot and static systems are simply
compression fittings likewise mounted to the bulkhead. All outer wing =
wiring
is done using those plug in locking trailer plugs which are a smaller
version of those used in tractor trailers. Makes for a nice and neat
installation and easy to check that everything is where it should be =
during
inspections. The whole setup for both wings weighs in at under 2 pound
addition to aircraft empty weight.

I put my pitot static tube setup on the end
of my front center spar end.=20
