There is absolutely no reason not to. I did not think to do that on my ailerons but if I had, I would have. I would put one on each end of the aileron and space five or six more evenly in between the two outer ones. Do the same on the flaps and I would think a total of three per flap would be sufficient. This is just my .02 worth and there is no engineering data to back this up.
