Jim, There really is no reason your tri-gear KR needs a tailskid. It sounds to me like you were looking at a KR that had been converted from a taildragger to a tri-gear and the tailspring was never removed. All you need is to place a solid block in the tail between the longerons and use an eye bolt for a tiedown ring or any other secure fastener that you can develop. Larry Flesner
