I built a 12.5 gal tank in each outboard wing panel and have no tanks in the cockpit. I did so without changing the wing design of the stock KR2 wing. You must realize that going this route will change the complexity and reliability of a gravity only fuel system. I'm using an extra (small) battery for backup power to the fuel pumps in case of an electrical problem. I've only needed to use it once in flight at the 12 hour point in my testing but it saved my bacon and I wouldn't fly without it. Testing it's operation is a part of the pre-engine start checklist on every flight. If you can imagine it, you can do it........... Larry Flesner
