Robert, You might also inquire of someone knowledgable about the need for a metal float in the carb. I think I have a metal float in both the Tripacer and the KR (0-200) but I'm not sure if they are required or not. I'm running auto fuel in both with 4 ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil to each 10 gal of fuel and add up to one quart of the MM oil to the crankcase at each oil change. While I can't vouch for the MM oil having great benifits I'll tell you what my experience has been. I've put 540 hours on the Tripacer (it now has 2280 hours since overhaul) and the oil consumption and compression checks has remained stable for that entire time. No stuck valves or any other problems during that run. The 0-200 in the KR had about 1825 hours SFRM when I got it. The only problem I've had in the 116 hours I've put on the engine was an exhaust valve problem that was probably more related to some carbon on the seat than anything and was corrected at the 77 hour point. No problems since. I carry the MM oil in baby milk bottles ( minus the nipples , of course) as they are graduated in ounces and other metric measurements that makes adding the correct amount very easy. Dick, Could you get the timing numbers from your C-150? I'm running my 0-200 on auto fuel just the way it came from the C-150 I salvaged out. The carb was modified with the mandatory one piece venturi. That kit was offered free of charge for several years but that offer is long since passed. I think the going price for that fix is now about $100 +/-. I believe I'm running 24degrees BTDC on the timing but that can vary by the cylinders you have installed also. Some of the newer cylinders allow you to go as high as 28 degrees BTDC on the timing. I think the factory web page has info on that issue. Larry Flesner
