a little story about silicone
I've worked the autoglass,automotive upholstery
beat for a while now,body shops hate the word silicone.
We used silicone to install in rubber autoglass to make 
things slippery. The fine mist in the air from aerosol
spray silicone would fish eye a paint job and land on
every car being prepped.
If you ever get stiffed by a bodyshop you could do a
drive by, punch a tiny hole in the side of a spray can   
and toss it through the bay door.
