I also want to say thanks to Mark for sharing his Germany vacation photos. My
wife and I have viewed two pages and many of the pictures were a walk down
memory lane for us because we have visited many of the same places during our
stay in Germany and then again on vacation there in 1996. I was stationed in
Frankfurt for 3 years while in the Army. We really enjoyed living and traveling
in Germany, and many other neighboring countries but unlike you Mark, when my 3
years were up I was ready to come home because I lived in Military quarters and
the only place to work on projects was in the hobby and craft shops that the
military provided. They were great because they furnished the tools and
training if you didn't have it but the only problem was that it put you and
your projects on their schedule so coming home gave lots more freedom to do
some of the things I loved to do. I also agree with your method of planning
your trip to Germany. We took one bus tour while in Germany and ended up
seperated on the bus and then the tour guide got us lost and at one rest stop
after warning everyone to be back on the bus on time She was the one that was
late which threw the whole tour behind schedule. After that we planned our own
trips and drove our old Checy van all over western Europe, even to Berlin -
while there was still an East Germany and Berlin was a divided city.
Thanks again Mark

Mark,

I actually enjoyed the change of pace that you brought with the pictures of
your Germany vacation. What a beautiful place and how fortunate that you
where able to share this with your family and to extend that to your KR
family. Thank you very much.

I hope that in this new year that more KR members will share pictures of
more of the custom work and solutions they come up with in their KR
ventures. As the saying goes. pictures are worth a thousand words.
