Thursday, Dec. 30, 2005 Dear netters
I installed my pitot tube on the top of the vertical stab. I found that it has a 5mph error but otherwise works just fine and no worries of someone breaking it off as they walk by or forgetting to install it (screw in types). The first one I had was installed out the bottom as per plans, I found that it had a 20 mph error due to turbulence around the retracts. Hope this helps. Happy New Year and many happy flying hours to all.
