Jack, 

You should be able to substitute a good floor wax with carnuba for the
parting agent.  The Mold Release is Poly Vinyl Alcohol (PVA).  A quart
should be enough to do several cowlings.  Wax the mold up good, then
paint the inside with PVA.  The PVA will stay with the part and most of
the wax should stay with the mold when you pull them apart.  PVA is water
soluble, so can be scrubbed off the finished part relatively easy.
