Colin - don't want to start a flame war - but your missing the point - you 
do not have to license it as a ELSA - but rather an Experimental Amateur 
built - if you can document that it meets the Sport Aircraft criteria by 
flight test your home free - as far as the FAA is concerned there was only 
one KR-2 and that was built and licensed by Ken Rand - All others are (Your 
name ) KR-2 etc. and all are unique aircraft.

I also pressed the FFA rep on flaps - he emphatically stated the aircraft 
could not be equipped - all the while showing pictures of Kitfoxes and 
Zenith 701's.
