My fuel pump (the same #40108) does the same thing, so despite what the docs may say, it appears to have a check valve. I don't plan on using any other check valve in the system... I have found various references online to this "valve" inside being a check valve, but nothing concrete enough to say "definitely"... The reason I am questioning this is that I now have both wing tanks connected to my dual facet pump arrangement which are in parallel. I am running only one Facet at a time and the other is a back up in case of pump failure. I just want to make sure I am not pumping fuel in circles.
