KR> Fitting a Revmaster Cowling

The Revmaster cowling doesn’t fit my 20 year old KR-2 because it’s too narrow 
in front for my VW engine. I have a 3 inch prop extension and it would seem I 
need another 3 inches. 

Now, I’d like to avoid this because it would seem to put more stress on the 
crank, so is there a way to make one of these sleek cowlings fit?
