You really shouldn't be using ailerons in a stall anyway.  That is a good
way to wind up in a spin.  Shortening the outboard side of the ailerons
would actually help to keep a turning stall or cross control stall from
becoming a spin.

Don't mean to say that this is the correct side to shorten or start a long
philosophical debate on the subject, just pointing out like you did that
there are a whole lot of considerations to a change like this and you need
to know what you are getting into before making this kind of change.

that is where the wing stalls first, otherwise you'd lose control in the
