See http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford/04103053m.jpg for how I did mine. I'm not entirely sure where the spring came from, but I think it's a Rand Robinson item, or even straight out of AS&S or Wicks. The 4" tailwheel itself is from Aviation Products, Inc., and is sold as the "homebuilder's special" by AS&S and Wicks. It is sold in three different configurations, all with different angles. It's a steerable full swivel that breaks away when full rudder is pushed, then locks back in place when the plane straightens out a little. The bellcrank is 6" on center, so I had to redrill mine to 5" on center so it would break at the end of the rudder travel. The material is something like hardened 4340, so all my cobalt drill bit did was make a little dent in it and leave some black stuff in the cutting oil. The guys at the shop drilled it using a carbide bit. I have turnbuckles inside the fuselage to adjust the slack, and I can always put springs in there if I want to. I'll put more info on it out there as time permits... Several KR builders have these, including Jeff Scott, and I think Larry as well. My tailwheel wedge block is spruce, as comes in the RR spruce kit. Mark Langford, Huntsville, Alabama N56ML "at" hiwaay.net see KR2S project at http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford
