No, the header tank must be vented. The way it is done on mine is that the 
header fuel tank overflow line goes back to the wing tanks. There is no 
overboard overflow.

Actually, everything is done at fuel cap level. The vent  is a tiny hole 
at the center of the cap. Then, the cap is scewed to a short tube, and the 
overflow pick-up is connected to that tube.

I'm very happy with that set-up, which is simple, reliable, and saves a 
lot of plumbing.

Why not just do like they did on the aircoops,back in the 40"s and run 
your
wing tanks thru your machanical fuel pump and into your header tank,with a

Would you need to have a sealed, non vented header tank? Because when the
header tank was full, would it leak out the breather, as well as back to 
the
overflow to wing tank?????
