I did all my canopy cutting with the equivalent of a "Dremel" tool. I was using a fiberglass cutoff/grinding wheel about 2 inches in diameter. Go slow and make serveral passes. It actually melted rather than cut its way through the canopy material. Once you've tried the glass reinforced wheel you'll throw away all those useless little stone wheels. Larry Flesner
