Don't use a pan that you are going to cook with later.  I used a cat food
can.

The lumber yard or a bait shop, ie lead flashing or fishing sinkers. You can
melt it in an old sauce pan on the kitchen stove (if you're not married) and
pour it into a wooden mold of approximate size and reshape the pieces when
cool
