Bill Clapp here typing a message to all KRnet guys (since I dont have net
access yet!) WE left out of Mount Vernon after an amazing Gathering on Sunday
at about noon. The Gathering was a great time with a lot of fun people to be
around with - lots of energy and excitment - and a good experience overall. It
was fun to talk to all the guys and gals interested in my plane and see all the
beautiful work on the others. Steve Glovers interior was outstanding! I have
something to work on now for next year.
We left out of MVN at about noon Sunday - stopped in Mount Pleasant an hour
30 minutes later to have some ribs at the steakhouse and then flew down to
Auburn, Al because winds at home in Valdosta GA were over 20 and gusting 36.
Fortunately Steve Phillibaum had left me his number and has provided room and
board for me and my daughter. Many KUDOS to him. 41768 is now snuggling itself
underneath a Citation at the airport. Hopefully the weather will improve for
an uneventful trip home.
I want to say thank you to all those who have helped and given advise to me
the past couple years. To William Wynne at the Corvair Authority for his help
and support for a great engine design that I trust. To Mark Langford for his
work on the new improvements that make this KR a true joy to fly. To Larry
Flesner for his work at the gathering. To Glenda Mcalwee for the use of here
radio, and Larry Koutz for the use of the GPS. Thanks also to those who
stopped by to look and talk. To those who are building, KEEP AT IT! I may
have time available now to help others out. I may get back on the net now and
talk to those who want my advise or just yell at me. I have facilities that I
may have available to those wanting help with their KRs - paint booth and room
to build. Currently Glenda McAlwee has her airboat and soon another KR in my
shop for her and I to work on. So If you need hand on help and can come and
visit or I can visit you and give you a hand (provided you !
pay for the COKE. :) I'm more than willing to help out.
Again thanks to all involved for the great attitudes and for the fun at the
Gathering - The next will be even better - if that is possible.

I will be stuck at Steves house for another day so I can answer questions and
threw in my two cents (1 dollar Canadian) for you.
