Larry, Ken Rand was an electronics engineer and knew nothing of aircraft design. The composit construction however was his idea originaly. Stewart Robinson was the aeronautical engineer and made sure that nothing wrong was done design wise. They were partners in the design of both the KR-1 and 2. Ken bought Stewart out when Stewart left the area.They were both friends of mine Enclosed is a picture of Ken Rand and myself in the front room of my home in Huntington Beach, Calif where I used to live prior to my move to Texas.
