Hello Netters,

Richard Shirley and I left LA this morning for the gathering. We intended on
being in early Thursday....Yeah right! We encountered "some" turbulence
through AZ and NM. (35 - 40 MPH gusts). We landed in Moriarty (Sp?) for fuel
and met a gentleman who knows Jeff Scott. Wind was about 25MPH 30+ degrees off
center line of the runway. I'm sure glad the KR handles so well.

We left there with the intention of making a quick stop in Amarillo, Tx. to get
a satellite look so we could plan the rest of our route. Well...we didn't
quite make it. We were forced down in rain and low clouds (scud running at
200') in the big town of Vega, Tx. about 28 miles short of our destination.
It was apparent we were not to be travelling further today. We were lucky
enough to meet a local crop duster who was just closing up shop for the day.
He graciously provided a home for our KR's over night. No outside parking for
us...Woo hoo!

If all goes well, we should still make it to Mt. Vernon sometime tomorrow
afternoon.

Hey Mark, I thought the weather was supposed to be great back here?
