Hello Net
The aircraft industry always uses NPT threads to tap into other parts, like
the engine case.  AN fittings can be found with all the popular NPT threads
on one side and the AN flair on the other.  Look in the AS&S catalog or any
other and you will see that they simply refer to them as pipe thread.
