I did look into it as well.  The bill has already been
withdrawn but had been proposed by Rep. Weiner (D-NY).
 I wrote my congressman and Rep. Weiner trying to
explain why a bill like this would be unacceptable and
asking that for future reference that he check with
EAA or AOPA or any pilot in the House or Senate before
proposing any future legislation.  May I ask all of
you to do the same.  People like Rep. Weiner aren't
evil, just completely clueless.  It is up to us to
help them become informed.  Thanks.
