My guess is that the cost of the Rotax may be a big reason they are not popular in Krs............ leaning towards the VW or a Corvair conversion.
+++++++++++++++++++++++ Yikes - I see what you mean - $14k for 100hp. I really like the Corvair, it has (I think) all the characteristics of a very reliable and cost effective aero engine. Whereas I am happy to create every single bit of my airplane including the canopy, when it comes to the motor - I would really prefer to take one out of a crate. Several neat VW conversions available, but nobody seems to offer a ready-to-fly Vair. If there is a supplier, please pass on the email or URL. Have a great Sunday. Steve J
