Netters,

I went over to the insulation company today and had him cut me off a 2"
'slice' from the 41"x96" block. I found out it is Polyisocyanurate Foam
under the brand name of "NilFram", which is in the urethane family. From
what I have read up on this on the internet, "Polyiso" is the next
generation polyurethane and the major difference is Polyiso has better flame
retardant characteristics. It's 2.2 pound density, which adds a little
weight, but I can get it whenever I need it, in whatever size, less
expensive, and without shipping. Here is the brochure on it that he gave
me:

Also, it sands and shapes identical to the polyurethane I got from Wicks. I
welcome any feedback on this.
