Dean, I built asimilar seat using about 30mm foam, glassed both sides and
supported on blocks glued to front and rear spars. I had to get it proof
loaded to about 400lbs as I recall, to satisfy our PFA. I did this using
bags of grit which it took without a twitch,-could have taken much more only
the bags were above my head by the 13th! Used plain old glassfibre.
