Hi netters
After 25 hours flyng test and 60 landings, finally I've obtained ( after the
inspection ) the italian airworthiness certificate as Experimental ( C.N.S.
Certificato di Navigabilità Speciale).
The story begun at oct, 1998 and now my KR2 I-KRFN is an airplane.
In few words
My KR is a standard RAF 48 design with theses modify
Engine Rotax 912 ULS 80 hp
Prop 1600 X 1600 mm. ( 63 X 63 ) inch.
Pulsar canopy
No flaps but belly board
Dihel style wing tips
Dihel landind gear taildragger
Empty weight 283 kgs. ( 623 lbs.)
MTOW 500 kgs. ( 1.100 lbs)
Cruise @ max continuos RPM 100% 130 kts 2000 ft. QNH
Cruise @ 75% 120 kts. 200 ft.QNH
Flight impressions
Stable solo flight pitch sensibility normal ( C.G. 22%) pitch sensitive but not
critical carryng a passenger with C.G. 27 %
Stall 35 KTS straight no wing drop
Climb 1200 ft/min.
Landing final @ 50 kts three points , no front visibility.
In my opinion if you land on a long runway , at least 3000 ft. you can land
slighty fast so you have better visibility but be very carefully and keep the
tail up untill the speed decrease , if not you bounch many time before a
complete full stop.
I prefere a three point landing even if there are not front visibility, so I
can land safe in my short runway ( 1800 ft.)
