Wow!! Bill has made some awesome progress. I drove out to his house last
October and he was in the advanced boat stage (controls, gear, tail feathers
done, etc) and starting to fit his canopy, but had yet to do his turtle
deck, stub wings, etc. That's great news on his first flight and I look
forward to seeing it in the air!

ps. It's good to hear from you Art. Brian mentioned that you moved out to
West GA, hope to see you at the gathering.

busy. He got his project signed off yesterday and today his baby took
flight. This is the second KR he has built. He has a KR2-S tail dragger,
Corvair engine, speed brake and the new airfoil. After a short hop in ground
effect he lifted off and went around the pattern once before a smooth
landing. He reports it flew very steadily with few control inputs needed
(almost hands off)his term!!! He hopes to fly his required hours off and
bring her to the Gathering, if possible. He was going to leave her with just
primer, but instead, painted her and took care of the interior while waiting
on the inspector. He's not on the net, but if you wish to call him with
questions or atta boy's, you can reach him at 229.242.2978. Photos may
follow if he can get them to me. Get it built-then go fly the thing!
